Siemens Healthineers & Cook Medical – Interventional MRI Suite Collaboration

Siemens Healthineers and Cook Medical announced a partnership to develop a fully integrated interventional MRI (iMRI) suite, designed to guide minimally invasive procedures without exposing patients or clinicians to ionizing radiation. This suite combines Siemens’ advanced MRI imaging technology with new MRI-compatible devices from Cook Medical, creating a “turn-key” solution for hospitals that includes hardware, devices, training, and support.

The collaboration aims to transform fields such as oncology, structural heart interventions, and pediatrics, where radiation exposure is a growing concern. By leveraging MRI rather than CT or fluoroscopy, the companies hope to set a new standard for precision medicine in interventional care.
